Education Center Information

IWU - Lexington Education Center
Library Services for Students and Faculty

IWU students and faculty have access to both the on-site library and Off Campus Library Services (OCLS).

A small collection of reference books is located in the lounge area of the Lexington Education Center (LXEC). The lounge is open whenever classes are in session.

Off Campus Library Services amenities include:
  • A ready reference collection of books and resource materials tailored to the classes taught in Lexington.
  • A librarian with a Masters degree in Library and Information Science to assist you with research and database training.
In addition to the regional librarian, you have access to the entire OCLS team. Based in Jackson Library on the Main IWU Campus in Marion, Indiana, OCLS staff is only a mouse click away when you need research help. Or, if you prefer, you may call 1-800-521-1848 (8:00 - 8:00 Monday - Thursday; 8:00 - 5:00 Friday; 9:30 - 2:00 Saturday) for assistance.

The OCLS team provides:
  • Home access to over 30 online academic research subscription databases.
(Note: You must be a currently enrolled student at IWU to access these databases.)
  • Timely photocopying, scanning, emailing and/or faxing of journal articles not found in full-text format online.
  • Assistance with research when the regional librarian is not available.

Library Subscription Databases

IWU provides access to over thirty online databases. These databases provide access to scholarly, peer-reviewed journal articles and book texts.
